Peacefully at home on Thursday August 23, 2012. Burt Carpenter in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Inez Carpenter (nee Percival). Loving father of Cathy (Brian) Wallace. Cherished grandfather of Angela (Jordan) Rudow and Alison Wallace and great grandfather of Luke George Rudow. Predeceased by his parents Bertha Condie & John Joseph Carpenter and his brother William (Eleanor) Carpenter. Burt will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may call at Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Sunday August 26, 2012 for visitation from 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place in the chapel on Monday August 27, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. Donations in memory of Burt to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
