SAUNDERS, Grace Evelyn (nee BECKWITH), peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2012, surrounded by family at the Perth Campus, Perth & Smiths Falls District Community Hospital. Grace Saunders, beloved wife and best friend for 68 years of Lionel Saunders is survived by her daughter, Jean (Michel) and son, Douglas (Michael). She is pre-deceased by daughter Susan (1968) and son Bryan (1998). 'Gigi' is deeply missed by her grand-daughters Diane and Joanne and great-grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Stephanie, Robert, Roxanne and Brayden. The daughter of the late Charles Beckwith and the late Edith York and her step-mother, the late Jean Spence, she is survived by siblings Glen (Joan), Ed (Faye), Janet, June, Linda (Fred), Arlene (Ken), and Judith (George) and many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by three brothers, Donald, Douglas and Ken (Shirley). She is also missed by a large extended family and many friends. Mrs Saunders is resting at Lannin Funeral Home on Main Street East in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Visitation on Tuesday, October 23rd from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral in the chapel at Lannin's on Wednesday, October 24th at 10:30 am with prior visitation from 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetary. In lieu of flower, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society are greatly appreciated by the family.
