Ann, Kayla, Kyle & Karie - so shocked to hear this news. I have many wonderful memories as a kid with my father (Richard Harper) & Bev at the farm and running into all of you. We are very saddened by Elwood's passing. We first heard of his cancer the evening we took Josiah to the hospital after his accident. Elwood was positive about the position he was in. His life lived is and was an eternal one, even then. That fact takes the edge off for him and us. Nevertheless, his loss will be felt deeply by your family and the community. It was a pleasure to have met him. We will continue praying for you all, that you be comforted in your grief by Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Dear Ann and family. Jim and I were so sorry to hear of Ellwood's passing. We were unaware until today. Losing your spouse is always very hard, especially when you are as close as you and Ellwood were. We know you will have wonderful support with your beautiful family and your faith will get you through this dark time in your life. I' m sure your wonderful memories of him will guide you as well. We apologize for not going to his funeral. We were totally unaware. Please accept our sincerest condolences. Elwood's smile and sense of humour will be missed by many.
