The Dunnings were an important part of my life growing up. My Dad worked with Bill Dunning at Statistics Canada, and we ended up having the cottage next to theirs at Clayton Lake. We spent a lot of time there, and I grew to admire and respect Mr. Dunning. It seemed as if there was nothing that he couldn't do - building things, fixing machinery, musical performances - if you wanted to get some help with any project, he was the person to talk to. I can remember him bending over the engine of our old car, with a stick between his ear and the block, diagnosing some strange engine noise. There was no limit to his ingenuity. My thoughts are with Mrs. Dunning and Dale, Glen, Lea and Brook. Sean Curry
