I am so sorry to see that Ken has passed away. By accident I just came across this item. Subtec was one of my most favourite jobs and always kept Subtec et al in my thoughts though over 25 yrs has gone by. I hated to leave my job as they were very good to me and my daughter but I had to return to BC. All (from Ken and his family and Margaret Barlow and Eileen Tinker to the great staff) were generous in many ways and I am very saddened to hear this news. They were the one thing in my life in Ottawa that kept me going. My belated condolences in particular to his children. Ken was a father you could talk to and a great role model as well as business man. Elizabeth Jones

My condolences to Ken's family. In the first year of my career in electronic engineering sales Ken was my first major customer, when he was in Purchasing at Sperry Gyroscope in Montreal. Ken was always respectful and helpful of a novice sales person.The project was the first process control digital computer system. We went our separate ways after that project but I remember his kindness and professionalism.I am happy that he found success with his own businesses. It was only by chance that I saw his death notice as I had lost track of Ken.
