Peacefully at Broadview Nursing Centre surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 8, 2014 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of John Parans and first husband Francis Carr. Loving mother of Harold Carr, Linda Brundige (the late Gord), Shelley Costello (Gord) and son-in-law Bob Duncan. Predeceased by her daughters Judy, and Jenny Duncan, and son Allen Carr. Step-Mother of Don Parans (Roseanne), Ed Parans (Terry), and Audrey Hipwell (Rob). Loving Grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 9 step-grandchildren. Jean will be sadly missed by several great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Best Friend and Sister to the late Yolande Richardson(Jack)and brother Roland Phillion (Isabelle). Jean will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Lanark County, Canadian Cancer Society or St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
