My deepest condolences to John, Angie, Rob, Jennifer & their families. I met Cathy just over 10 years ago. What an amazing lady!. Cathy was astute when it came to bartering with Don over farm equipment. She could work as hard as any farm laborer. I would see her daily checking on her-mother-in law to ensure all was well,. Cathy cut down the `jungle`` at the back deck, on Willow Lane, so that Jenny & Richard would have a beautiful garden wedding. She worked from dawn-dusk in her green-house which featured several different kinds of tomatoes, and she knew what plants should be planted in what types of soil. She had an great deal of knowledge when it came to garden vegetables and shared this as a guest speaker for the horticultural society. Cathy was always friendly and had a beautiful smile. I and many others will miss her. She had so many great qualities. Cathy has left a wonderful footprint. RIP Cathy.......... <3 Darlene Graham, Jasper Road neighbor.

It is with sadness and reflection that I write. My deepest condolences to John, Angie, Rob and Jennifer . Your mom reached far during her short life. Having lived in Alberta for the last 36 years her name was mentioned and praised for her work with Hay West. Without a doubt her passion for agriculture has been passed on to her children. She is in a better place. Love, Bill, Adrienne Craig & Ally Mullen

With our ownership in the Feed Store in Smiths Falls, we enjoyed many spirited exchanges with Cathy over the years. She was intelligent, and very politically aware. If I ever had a question about some kind of municipal policy etc., I only had to pick up the phone or drop by the farm to recieve the full story. When you guys were showing, she used to have me stop out to do up a custom feeding program for the 1 or 2 calves you wanted to do that `little bit extra`. Of course, no recommendation could be offered without making sure we had fully discussed any & all neighborhood gossip..industry ongoings....my family....her family....... Needless to say they tended to be long chats. She will be missed.

I remember so many lovely chats with Kathy at the farm. We shared a love and passion for growing and preparing good food. She was so generous, so helpful, funny and always interesting. She became a member of the Smiths Falls Horticultural Society and invited us to her greenhouse. She prepared a lovely lunch, she gave us plants, she donated her preserves to our silent auction and this year she gave a presentation to our members about canning and preserving food. It was so inspiring! Just like Cathy. She will be so sadly missed.

Uncle John, Angie, Rob and Jen, I was so very sad to hear of Aunt Cathy's passing. So many of my childhood memories include spending time with all of you; looking for kittens, Uncle John chasing me with mice, long trail rides, horse shows etc etc etc. She was loved and will be missed by many - but on the plus side? I bet her and my mom are having a long overdue sunset trail ride and a glass of wine. Sending my love and condolences from Pakistan. Amy Muldoon
