The great debates when Dad (Eric), Uncle Roy and Uncle Brian were together - those I'll always remember! Always sparked my curiosity as a kid! Uncle Roy I'll never forget your stories - God bless you. May you rest in peace.

God speed, Roy. You'll be missed. I have a lot of fond memories of fishing with Roy and Hang when I was young. Roy and I shared a passion for the world beyond our borders and cultural experience. He was always keen to share his experiences.

I have so many memories of my Uncle Roy. I will remember our family visits to him and Hang when they lived in Montreal, then Vanier, and then Sharbot Lake when my brothers and I were growing up. His travels to far distant parts of the world, and his marriage to Hang who he had met on those travels, brought into our lives something perspective broadening that we might not otherwise have had. When the news talked so much of Vietnam in the early 1970s, it caught my young boy interest a lot more because my uncle Roy had lived there and my aunt Hang was from there. I remember playing with Roy's large shortwave radio when he lived in Sharbot Lake and developing an interest in hearing the voices of faraway lands that I continue to have today. I will always remember the summer of 1978 when he and Hang took me with them on their trip to Manitoba to see Debbie and Corinne. It was a wonderful trip, camping and seeing so many people and places I had never met or seen before. The English accent he always retained and his pride in being British helped me to also learn to love that heritage my father's family has given to me. I will miss him.

Roy's love for his family, is one of the things I will remember most. For Hang, for his children, for his grandchildren...he talked of all of you so often. He helped so many people during his life, and those people will continue to use what he taught to help others. I and many others will also remember his hat. He loved that hat. He will be deeply missed, and always loved. God Bless.
