Ed Gerow posted a condolence

So sorry to hear of Pat's passing. I have many fond memories working on the farm with Pat and Sid 45 yrs ago. They were two of the nicest people I have ever met and they had a significant influence on my life. We exchanged Christmas cards every year and she always included thoughtful comments about the photos of my kids and grandchildren and provided updates of her family. My thoughts and prayers to Mark, Kent, Blair, Anne and families. Ed Gerow, Victoria, BC

Treasure the memories. A beautiful woman inside and out. She was a very special friend to my Mother sharing many cups of coffee and of course the delicious treats. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time. My deepest condolences, Colleen Clark

On behalf of Merrickville District Community Health Centre I would like to extend condolences to Pat's family and friends. Pat was a volunteer at the Health Centre in Merrickville where we became friends. She remained a nurse throughout her role as a volunteer, always caring for others with kindness and professionalism. I will miss our visits. Peter McKenna, Executive Director Merrickville District Community Health Centre, a part of Rideau Community Health Services.

Aunt Pat always had a warm welcome and delicious food any time I walked over from Grandma and Grandpa's house. Yes, you had to help with dishes or sweep the floor after lunch, but her kitchen was always a place you wanted to visit! I will miss her dearly but feel lucky to have had such a special woman in my life.

One of my childhood memories is of going with Linda and Bob to Pat and Sid's for dinner. I had never had white rice before and it was a wonderful introduction. Pat was such a good cook. So sorry to hear about Pat's passing. She will be missed.

I remember the first time I met Pat. It was at an auction in Merrickville. She found out we had the same maiden name. So she laughingly introduced herself as "Pat Moodie." We had such a great chat that day. Since we were both avid knitters we had lots to talk about, along with our family history. My condolences to you Blair and Kelly and the rest of your family on the loss of a great lady. She will be missed by many.
