Eric contacted us years ago when we moved to Toronto. When I mentioned I knew and had visited his family in UK he was so happy and asked to get in touch with my Mom. I gathered from Mom that he visited his family and had a grand reunion. I also met Wanda (his mom I think) and visited her cottage in th 70s I think. Our family connection is through our great grandparents, mothers side. I only found out because another family member in Chicago passed recently. Xx

I met Eric 13 years ago when he was 'matched' to be my volunteer driver after I was in a catastrophic MVA.....he drove me to ALL my REHAB appointments (which were many and I am sorry to have taken up so much of his time) ....the many hours in his vehicle during transport were spent sharing stories about his family and mine (which I found out I knew his niece Juanita from years back)...eventually, he convinced me to join Montague Park and Rec which we served on for a few years together.....Eric was a pillar of the community .....always ready to give a helping hand where ever needed--this is way I will remember Eric.....my condolences to Loraine and family

My sympathies to all Eric's family. Eric and I started at Rideau Regional Centre the very same day- January 13th, 1975, I had met Eric thru his future wife Lorraine prior to that and so he was a friendly face on a very scary day, walking down those long hallways to our future careers! Eric always remained a friendly face in any crowd, he will be missed by all, Bye my friend! Gail Ritchie
