Suddenly at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Friday, January 6, 2017 in his 73rd year. Beloved Husband for almost 53 years to Olive. Loving father of Melissa and the late John. Son-in-law Dan Lucier. Dear grandfather of Daniel (Athena), Travis, Brianne (Cam), and Brodie. Great-grandfather of Brooklyn and Daemyn. Dear brother of the late Jim (Liz), the late Harvey (Karen), Elaine (Jean) and Norman (Janet). Brother-in-law of Lynne (Virginia), Laurel, Mary (the late Dan), Alan (Mary Lou), Elaine Mickle, predeceased by Kit and his devoted mother Phyllis. Special Poppa of Jackie and Jerrod. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
As per Don's wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95 Smiths Falls. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Tree-mendous Fund or Brooklyn and Daemyn's Education Fund would be appreciated by the family.
