Dear Aunt Kay, may you rest in peace my sweet dearly missed friend and aunt by marriage. Every time you come to mind, a warmth washes over me, you had a wonderful way to make me feel like your daughter. I remember the first time I met you, I knew a special bond had formed when we walked into your sewing room together. Loved you making a beautiful baby quilt for my first born in 1985, and then for all my sons, your bibs and quilts are now being passed to my grandchildren. I miss our visits and cherish you making lunch for me and my own mom and on your birthday too, every Dec 27th, and a few times or going out for lunch, all such special memories. You made me an apron and tea cozies and hand towels ~ still cherished creations and especially loved your hand written letters to me, they always warmed me, you always signed "loads of love, Aunt Kay" ...
Your recipes for homemade pickles, chocolate cake with marshmallows melted on top, and your coleslaw are still a favourite and think of you every time I make one of your many recipes.
Since the day you first went to live at Broadview Nursing Centre, I am so thankful to your friend Betty Harper for calling me, THANK YOU BETTY for everything, you are a great friend.
Aunt Kay you'll be forever in my heart, your loving ways and generosity will always warm me. Oh I miss you, your smile, your sweet giggle and devilish laugh, I miss you, rest in peace my dear friend.
My sincere condolences and sympathies to each of your family, your sisters, and Katherine Nolan who touched my heart to keep in touch over the years. Hugs to each of you ~ love Janice Moran
