Fisher, Kathleen Joan (née Rayfield), of Smiths Falls, passed away peacefully at Chartwell Stonehaven Retirement Residence in Kanata, in her 102nd year. Kathleen Joan, loving wife of the late Arthur Fisher. Dear daughter of the late Charles and Rosemary Rayfield. Devoted mother to Monica (Ron) Jordan, and Adrian (Marsha) Fisher. Cherished grandmother of Adrian (Pam) Jordan, Andrew Jordan, Jonathan (Donna) Jordan, Erin Fisher, and Robyn (Lachlan) Clelland. Great grandmother of Juliet Jordan, Jasmine Jordan, Alexandra Jordan, Rebecca Jordan, Ava Lafleur, Logan Lafleur, Cameron Clelland, and Aspen Clelland. Survived by her sisters June Holmes, and Alice Gayda. Kathleen Joan will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is also predeceased by her grandson Adam Fisher, and siblings Bill Rayfield, Marie Banford, Bruce Sellence, Stanley Sellence, Robert Sellence, and Wendy Achtimachuk.
Joan lived a long and interesting life, exemplifying a deep faith, a heart overflowing with love and kindness to all people, animals and nature. She will be sadly missed by many, in England, Canada, New Zealand, and the USA. Her “footprint” and memory will live on with her large Family and with her many friends.
Friends are invited to visit the family at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 11:30 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:30 PM. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery following the service. A Celebration of Kathleen Joan's life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion in Smiths Falls following the interment.
