Gallipeau, Joseph Arthur Peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the age of 77. Joseph was born and raised in Smiths Falls. He was the owner of J.A. Gallipeau Construction and in construction and development for over 50 years in Smiths Falls and surrounding area. Beloved husband of Diane Gallipeau (nee Henderson) for 56 years . Loving father of Tracy (Kevin) Gallipeau-Nolan and Todd (Cheryl) Gallipeau. Cherished grandfather of Dylan Nolan (Hayley), Taylor Nolan (Barrett), Emily Gallipeau (Mack), and Rachel. Survived by his sister-in-law Beverly Gilligan and brother-in-law Royce Henderson. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Sadie Gallipeau, his sisters Joan Cassell (Ron) and Grace McAdam (Bud), and his brother in law Clifton Henderson (Janice Wallace). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Lannin Funeral Home on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 11:00am, at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Lombardy. Interment will take place at a later date. A Celebration of Life will take place immediately following the funeral service at the Lombardy Agricultural Hall. As expressions of sympathy, donations to LAWS or the Smiths Falls Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
