Bernie was a really good friend of the Lavier family Wich just lived down a block on the corner of Russell and elmsley in the 90s when he got back from the west his family home was Russell and market where I grew up known his mother Wich was as well a very nice lady it's where the old barber shop was in the 80s ,he was a good lad smart guy new all about sports right upto his passing had good taste in music and liked to play cards which he played with us lots and enjoyed the odd beer he was a true Smith's Falls boy thru and thru RIP buddy .jock lavier
