It is with great sadness that we announce the death of BERNARD ANDREW DALGLEISH at Smiths Falls on October 21 who passed away peacefully at the age of 79.
Bernie was pre-deceased by Mother Marguerite Elizabeth Dalgleish (nee Johnson), Father John James Dalgleish (Jack), and nephew John Hugh Dalgleish (Toronto). Bernard is survived by brother Donald Scott Dalgleish (Bolton), sister-n-law Claudette Dalgleish (nee Balfe) (Bolton), nephew Adrian Dalgleish (Vicki) (Caledon), niece Paula Pichette (Michael) of Houston, Texas, and cousins Charlene Bradshaw (Smiths Falls) and Beth Kirk (Ottawa).
While at S.F.C.I. Bernie starred playing Football and basketball.
Bernard had a varied work career. After graduating with a Childcare Certificate from Algonquin College he worked in Edmonton for seven years followed by two years in Smiths Falls at the Rideau Centre. He worked in the insurance industry in Toronto and Ottawa. He then became a Bulova Watch Salesperson travelling across Canada calling on jewellery stores.
Bernie also worked on new pipeline installations from Gravehurst to Cochrane Ontario.
