Carkner, Howard John
Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Lynn Carkner (nee Heroux). Loving father of Jack (Kyla), and Tracy (Tim). Cherished grandfather of Holly, Emily, Jaxon, Rachael, and Hannah. Survived by his brothers Allan (Diane) and Ross, and his brothers-in-law Ken (Kassandra) Heroux, and Daniel (Barb) Heroux. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Dorothy Carkner, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Art and May Heroux. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Lannin Funeral Home on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11:00am in the Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Merrickville Fair Dairy Cattle Show, or Grenville County 4H would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
