Peacefully at his home surrounded by his family in Jasper on Thursday October 28, 2010. After a courageous battle with cancer, Alvin Issac Bennett age 56 years. Alvin took great pride in his job as a Maintenance Foreman for the Rideau Canal Smiths Falls. Loved son of Gerald and Leona Bennett (Carr) . Alvin was a loving and devoted husband to Deborah Leah Bennett (Beaupre) and cherished father to Sarah Diane Dicaire (Dave) and Joshua Alvin Bennett (Carly). Loved brother of Debbie Elson, Gary Carr, Guy Bennett, Shirley Piticco and Betty Kloepfer. Predeceased by sister Rita Lackie and brother Roger Bennett. Beloved son-in-law of Percy and Cherie Beaupre of Jasper and treasured brother-in-law to the Beaupre family. Uncle to Many nieces and nephews. Alvin will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. A memorial celebration of Alvin's life will take place on Saturday November 6, 2010 from 1 PM until 4 PM at the Smiths Falls Golf and Country Club.
