To Norval's loved ones: May you find comfort in the memory of Norval and the many acts of kindness and service he dedicated to others. I have no doubt that he is up there chairing a meeting and welcoming those who weren't fortunate enough to find peace in this life. Don't think of him as gone away, His journey's just begun, Life holds so many facets, This earth is only one. Just think of him as resting, From the sorrow and the tears, In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days or years. Think of how he must be wishing That we could know today, How nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, For nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. In friendship, SanDee V.

I had worked with Norval on the Board of Directors of the Smiths Falls and District Club for Youth. He was a dedicated, compassionate and energetic member and helped so many young people along his journey, always with a smile on his face and gift for gab. Sadly missed, my thoughts and prayers are extended to Norval's family.

Mrs. Simpson and Valan, please accept my sympathies of Norvals passing. You have lost a cherished member of your family, and his friends have lost an amazing unforgettable friend. Please find some comfort in knowing all of the people he has helped save and find their way in this life. I will never be able to thank him enough for helping in saving my sisters life, I have no doubt she wouldn€™t be here and become the amazing women she has become had Norval not come into her life. Rarely are there such amazing individuals that pass through our lives that touch one another as Norval has. I am sure he is helping others as we speak, and sharing his wisdom and humor with them now, just not here any longer. Please find comfort in the amazing man he was, and all he has done. I am sure there are many more wonderful stories of others he has helped (like my sister) find their way. He had an amazing gift he willingly shared with anyone that needed it. My thoughts and prayers are with you both, your family, and also Norvals grieving friends, you are all hurting so much from his passing. Ferne McGrath

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Norval was one of the kindest people I knew, and he will be missed. There is a prayer that Norval knew well and he lived it each and every day, with everyone whose life he touched...it is the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. I hope that you find comfort in his memory and find strength through the prayers of all of us who loved him. God Bless, Colleen Lamontagne.
