After a shocking diagnosis and thankfully, short bout of illness, we sadly announce the passing of Norval Peter Simpson. With his daughter, mother and a few close friends by his side, he went peacefully on June 21, 2011. Predeceased by his father Peter Simpson, Norval was the much-loved son of Olga Simpson. Cherished dad of Valan Simpson (the light of his life). Admired brother of Garnet Simpson and Carol Simpson. Respected brother-in-law of Mike Volpe and adored uncle of Mikhail Volpe. He was a friend, a mentor, and a confidant of many, Norval will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his Family, Friends and Community. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday June 24, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday June 25, 2011 at 10 AM. Donations in memory of Norval to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Smiths Falls Youth Club would be appreciated.
